DERRICK MSS.

The Derrick mss., undated twentieth century, consist of four watercolors for dustjackets of three novels by Compton Mackenzie, published between 1913 and 1919. Thomas Derrick, -1954, was born in Bristol and studied at the Royal College of Art, where he was later an instructor in decorative painting. Derrick worked in stained-glass, murals, and portraiture. He was an exhibitor at the Royal Academy, though never a member.
