Lilly Library Manuscript Collections


The DeVincent mss., ca. 1930-1997, consist primarily of correspondence, notes, photographs, etc., of musician and radio entertainer Sam DeVincent, 1918-1997. For the most part everything relates to the radio program he hosted on WOWO in Fort Wayne, Indiana from 1960 until he retired in 1983, and to his collection of sheet music accumulated over most of his lifetime. A folder list is available.

The Lilly Library also holds the Sam DeVincent Collection of American Sheet Music, containing approximately 24,000 pieces of sheet music, songbooks, and folios. For further information see the Lilly Library website:
