Lilly Library Manuscript Collections


The Farano mss. II, ca. 1931-1972, consist of correspondence and writings of poet Michel Farano of West New York, New Jersey. Also present are files relating to Farano's close friend, poet Jean Starr Untermeyer.

The collection is organized into the following series: I. Correspondence; II. Writings; III. Miscellaneous.

Included among the correspondents are Peter Beilenson, George Platt Brett, Francis Brown, Leonard Ceeley, Saxe Commins, Norman Cousins, Michel Farano, Robert Payne, Arthur Stringer, and Herman R. Ziegner.
