Lilly Library Manuscript Collections


The Fellini mss. III, 1966-1970, consist of correspondence and related manuscript materials between Italian film director Federico Fellini, 1920-1993 and Playboy Magazine. The materials pertain to publication rights for Wingate Paine's Mirror of Venus, for which Fellini provided accompanying text; a proposed article on Fellini's experiences with the supernatural; and an early version of an interview about the film Fellini Satyricon, which appeared in its revised form in Playboy's May 1970 issue.

The collection is organized into the following series: I. Correspondence; II. Writings.
