The Gill mss., 1874, 1878-1879, are letters and prospectuses from various English girls' schools describing their curriculum, teachers, and environment. Most of the letters are dated between December 1878 and January 1879 and were sent in response to inquiries by W. Gill, via his agents Griffiths & Smith. In addition, there are two letters dated Aug. 5 and 11, 1874 from J.W. Todd of Tudor Hall Ladies' College.
