Lilly Library Manuscript Collections


The Grenier, Arpine Konyalian mss., 1948–2010, consist of both published and unpublished manuscripts, drafts, correspondence, dream notebooks, photos, tapes and other material relating to the creative work of Armenian American poet, musician and scientist Arpine Konyalian Grenier. Born in Lebanon, Grenier obtained both her B. Sc. and M. Sc. from the American University of Beirut, and her M.F.A. from the Milton Avery Graduate Center at Bard College, New York. Her publications include both scientific and literary papers, as well as literary translations, three books of poetry, and contributions to numerous literary journals, including among others the Columbia Poetry Review, The Iowa Review, Sulfur, Kiosk, Ararat, Chiron and The Bardian.
