HARRISON, W.H. MSS. II
The W.H. Harrison mss. II consist of letters and papers, 1794-1834, of William Henry Harrison, 1773-1841, president of the United States, territorial governor of Indiana, and general.
Included in the collection are returns for provisions and whisky for army personnel and requisitions for food and whisky for Indians, January 8, 1794-September 7, 1795, signed by Harrison as aide-de-camp to General Anthony Wayne during his campaign against the Indians in Ohio, 1794, and the ensuing treaty negotiations; requisitions on the quartermaster for supplies, July 18, 1796-March 29, 1798, for the garrison of Fort Washington, Ohio, of which Harrison was commandant at the time; letters and papers, October 11, 1812- March 12, 1814, of the quartermasters department of the Northwestern army, which Harrison commanded; letters of Harrison, 1803-1811, and 1817-1834, and cheques signed by him, 1826-1834.
