HIRSCHMAN MSS. II
The Hirschman mss. II, 1959-1969, consist of letters and poems from Clayton Eshleman, 1935- , poet to Jack Hirschman, 1933- , poet.
The letters refer to poets, poetry, printing presses, little magazines, and personal affairs. They were written in Mexico, July 1, 1959 to July 25, 1960; Japan, April 30, 1961 to June 28, 1964; Taiwan, October 10 and 23, 1961; Korea, April 8 and 15, 1962; Peru, September 11, 1965 to April 4, 1966, and at intervals from California, Indiana and New York. Many of the letters contain comments on the people as well as a description of the country.
In addition to Eshleman's poems, there are translations of a number of Cesar Abraham Vallejo's poems.
