The Kirk mss., 1948, consist of letters, postcards, and memoranda from Arthur Fisher Bentley, 1870-1957, author, to George Edward Kirk, student at Indiana University, and to E. Lingle Craig, reference librarian, Indiana University Library. They refer to the checking of references on the galley proof of Knowing and the Known, by John Dewey and Arthur Fisher Bentley, which Kirk was doing for Bentley.
