LEECH MSS.
The Leech mss. ca. 1830-1870, consist of sketches, drawings, and notes by English caricaturist and illustrator George Cruikshank, 1792-1878. Many of the drawings and sketches are hand-colored either partially or in full, and a few are framed, such as three finished drawings for Tom & Jerry. Also present are two self-portraits, one as a caricature, and a frames gravure portrait of Cruikshank, printed in Paris.
The collection was formed by Dr. John Leech and passed on to his son. It is not catalogued.
