LEWICKI MSS.

The Lewicki mss., ca. 1958-1962, consist of research notes, photographs of family members used as models for characters, and the original artwork of James Lewicki, 1917-1980, for Life magazine's series on American Folklore. The series was published in five parts beginning in August 1959 and subsequently republished in a single volume as The Life Treasury of American Folklore, by the Editors of Life, New York: Time, Inc., 1961.
