MANCHESTER MSS.
The Manchester mss., ca. 1930-1933, consist of a scrapbook and three photograph albums concerning travel in the Far East, in particular the Philippines and China, compiled by Margaret (Day) Manchester, 1899- . The photographs are identified in the albums, but not dated. Album 1 is the Philippines and China; album 2 - Korea, China and Hawaii, with the latter part being travel shots in the U.S. (Grand Canyon?) and snapshots of family and friends at home, which are not identified; album 3 - completely unidentified photographs. The scrapbook includes maps, post cards, travel literature, cruise ship menus and schedules, some of which are dated, for the Philippines, Japan, China, Hawaii, etc.
