MARCUSE MSS.
The Marcuse mss., ca. 1991-1993, consist of translations into Spanish of three books by Dr. Seuss. The translations were done by Aída E. Marcuse, translator and writer of children's books. Aída (Eimer) Marcuse was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1934. She married Robert J. Marcuse in 1957; emigrated to the United States in 1985. Her works have been published in Spanish, English, French, Dutch, and Portuguese.
The Dr. Seuss titles/translations present here are Huevos verdes con jamón (Green Eggs and Ham); El Lórax (The Lorax); and ¡Oh, cuán lejos llegarás! (Oh, the Places You'll Go!).
