The Messick mss. XIII, April 10-May 4, 1953, consist of 20 pen and ink drawings for the daily newspaper comic strip Brenda Starr, by cartoonist Dale Messick, 1906- . The story is a continuation of the Sir Oliver Twerp/Howie Haddum/Zeela Lee mystery begun in Messick mss. X.

Each panel is dated with the month and day on which it appeared in print. Panel for April 13 appearance is lacking.
