The Nelson's Encyclopedia mss., 1946-1947, consist of an article on penicillin by Sir Howard Florey, 1898-1968, pathologist, and two letters from him concerning the publication of the article; and two letters Oct. 1, 9, 1946, from Hermann Joseph Muller, 1890-1967, biologist, to Walter Dill Scott, 1869-1955, university president; two letters, Nov. 20, 21, 1947, to Myron R. Kirsch, science editor, Nelson's Encyclopedia; and an article by Muller on the Gene, Nov. 21, 1947.
