NORMAN MSS.

The Norman mss., 1957-1967, are literary papers of Frank Norman, 1930-1980, author. They consist of manuscripts of his writings, correspondence and other papers.

The papers are arranged in chronological order. Most of the correspondence is with composers, novelists, poets, dramatists, editors, journalists, lawyers, theatrical managers, literary agents and publishers.

Among the correspondents represented in the collection are Donald Albery, Ted Appleton, Lionel Bart, Oscar A. Beuselinck, Raymond Thornton Chandler, Thomas Edward Neil Driberg, Edgar Duchin, B. David Farrer, Michael Frayn, J. Gadsby, Robert K. George, Mrs. Penelope (Conner) Gilliatt, Mrs. Helga Greene, Cecil Rolph Hewitt, Jean Howard, Bernard Kops, Michael Korda, Irving Kristol, Joan Maud Littlewood, Derek Marks, Tom Maschler, Peter Mayer, Eric Newby, Ian Macnaghten Parsons, Edmund Penning-Rowsell, Gerald C. Raffles, J. C. Reynolds, Paul R. Reynolds, Stephen Spender, J. Tilb', Guy Verney and Walter White.

Papers other than manuscripts of writings and correspondence include a memorandum book and articles about Norman. There is also a folder of newspaper clippings and printed material.
