OGDEN MSS.

The Ogden mss., 1935, consist of correspondence between editor Philip Mairet, 1886-1975, of The New English Review and Charles Kay Ogden, 1889-1957, originator of Basic English. The topic is an article by Ezra Loomis Pound, 1885- 1972, relating to Ogden's theories, which The New English Review plans to publish. One of Mairet's letters encloses an uncorrected galley proof of the article.
