PINERO MSS.
The Pinero mss., 1896-1915, are mainly letters from Sir Arthur Wing Pinero, 1855-1934, dramatist, to Sir George Alexander, 1858-1918, actor, manager, about his own plays but comments on the death of Sir William Schwenck Gilbert, on Sir George Alexander's acting, on Mrs. Patrick Campbell, and on John Drew. Included are two letters from Mrs. Myra Emily (Hamilton) Pinero, -1919, to Sir George Alexander; a typescript of a letter from Pinero to Daniel Frohman, 1851- 1940, theatre manager; and two programs for the performances of Pinero's His House in Order at the St. James's Theatre.
