Plomer mss., 1933-1970, consist of the letters of William Charles Franklyn Plomer, 1903-1973, author, to Richard MacGillivray Dawkins, 1871-1955, archaeologist, and to G. L. Lewin, 1891-1978, bookseller.
With Dawkins, Plomer discussed a common interest in Greece and its literature, the work of Constantine Cavafy, Plomer's book The Case is Altered.
With Lewin, Plomer wrote about reviews of Turbott Wolfe, the burial place of Sir Harry Johnston, congratulations on Lewin's 77th birthday, the autographing of a copy of the Wayzgoose, Hugh MacDiarmid's The Battle Continues, and reminiscences of Olive Schreiner.
