The Pryor mss., ca. 1931–1949, consist of papers, correspondence, and clippings related to the 1940 Republican convention where Wendell Willkie was nominated as the Republican candidate for President. Samuel F. Pryor, Jr., an executive vice–president of Pan American World Airways served as vice–chairman of the Republican Party at this time and also served as Willkie's Eastern Campaign manager.
