The Pyle mss. V, 1994, consist mostly of annotated excerpts from interviews by James Tobin with relatives and acquaintances of journalist Ernie Pyle, 1900-1945. The interviews were conducted by Tobin for his book Ernie Pyle's War: America's Eyewitness to World War II (New York: Free Press, 1997).
