The Ralston, Mrs. S.M. mss., 1894-1950, are the papers of Mrs. S.M. Ralston, 1862-1954, the wife of Samuel Moffett Ralston, Indiana Governor and United States Senator. From 1934 to 1953 she was the Democratic National Committeewoman from Indiana. The manuscripts consist of letters from prominent political figures, friends, and members of the family, and poetry, prose writings, and speeches by Mrs. Ralston. Included also are miscellaneous pamphlets, newspaper clippings pertaining to Mrs. Ralston, and Democratic National Committee material, 1924-1949.
