The Senour mss., 1919-1928, consist of letters from Professor Frank C. Senour, 1871-1928, to Ruth Athenais Norman, 1897?- . Senour taught English at Indiana University from 1911 until his death in 1928. Ruth Norman, a student at IU during the War, graduated in 1919 with an AB in English and following her departure from Bloomington she and Senour began a long term correspondence. In these letters Senour discusses his own activities and health, events occurring on campus and in Bloomington, and offers frequent advice and comments about Miss Norman's life.
A typed transcript, made by the recipient but omitting all identifiable names and locales, accompanies the letters. A photograph of Frank Senour and a copy of a posthumously published article by him - "The case of Professor Snedden" - complete the collection.
