TRAVERS, P.L. MSS.
Australian author Pamela Lyndon Travers (1899-1996) is best known for her series of children's novels about Mary Poppins. The Travers papers consist of seven letters relating to the Russian publication of Mary Poppins, translated by Boris Zakhoder, one of the major translators of children's literature into that language. The letters, all from 1969, include an exchange between the author and translator about the Russian edition, as well as correspondence from the Russian publishers.
