URBANEK MSS.
The Urbanek mss., 1887-1914, consist of letters from Petr Il'ich Chaikovskii, 1840-1893, composer, and Giacomo Puccini, 1858-1924, composer, to Velebin Urbanek of Prague. Included also are an undated letter of Jules Emile Massenet, 1842- 1912, composer, and one, July 28, 1914, of Maurice Ravel, 1875-1937, composer, to unnamed persons.
The Chaikovskii letters, 1887-1888, relate to arrangements for a concert, which he gave in Prague on February 19, 1888, to the participation of Karel Halir in that concert, and to concerts of Chaikovskii elsewhere.
Also included in the collection is a printed program and some printed program notes for the concert in Prague.
