ENGLISH LITERATURE MSS.- Consist of individual items acquired from various sources. Of particular interest are page proofs for the British edition of Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf dated 1925.

- Consist of the letters between author Vita Sackville-West and her husband, Sir Harold George Nicolson, author. A few letters from Virginia Woolf are also present.

- Papers of Lancelot de Giberne Sieveking, author and playwright. Included are letters from Edward Morgan Forster.

- Letters of Hannah (Whitall) Smith, her two daughters Mary (Smith) Berenson and Alys Whitall Pearsall (Smith) Russell, and Mary's two daughters Ray (Costelloe) Strachey and Karin (Costelloe) Stephen. The family had many connections with the British literary intellectual community. Alys married philosopher Bertrand Russell. Ray married into the Strachey family and Karin wed Virginia Woolf's brother Adrian Stephen. In the collection there are letters from Clive Bell, Edward Morgan Forster, Roger Eliot Fry, John Maynard Keynes, Giles Lytton Strachey and Virginia Woolf.
