This list gives the collection name, date range and number of items in a collection followed by a very brief description of the contents of the collection. All of these collections are related to Journalism and Newspapers.
BOWERS MSS. , BOWERS MSS. II & BOWERS MSS. III- The Bowers mss., 1911-1949, are letters from Claude Gernade Bowers, 1878-1958, newspaperman and diplomat, to Frank Brubeck, 1867/8-1964, Terre Haute, Indiana, friend, who in 1934 was Internal revenue agent in Indianapolis. The Bowers mss. II, 1893-1960, are further papers of Bowers. The Bowers mss. III, 1868-1972, consist of additional correspondence, speeches, writings, photographs, newspaper clippings, and memorabilia relating to Claude Gernade Bowers.

- The Colfax mss.,are papers of Schuyler Colfax, 1823-1885, South Bend, Indiana, newspaperman, speaker of the House of Representatives, and vice-president of the United States. They include letters to Colfax, from Alfred Wheeler, who was in charge of Colfax's newspaper office, St. Joseph Valley register, South Bend, Indiana, in his absence.

They consist of correspondence of Kent Cooper chiefly with journalists, releases for newspapers, and newspaper clippings. he Cooper mss. II, ca. 1905-1985, consist of the papers of journalist and Associated Press executive, Kent Cooper, 1880-1965. Most of the collection concerns his work as a journalist, but some of it relates to his work as a composer. The Cooper mss. III, ca. 1927-1980, consist of letters, photographs, and memorabilia such as plaques and resolutions, of and relating to journalist and Associated Press Director Kent Cooper, 1880-1965.

The letters relate primarily to the operation of McClure's newspaper syndicate, 1884-1901, including correspondence with the London office of the syndicate; and to McClure's Magazine, 1894-1926. The McClure mss. III, 1896-1947, are papers of Samuel Sidney McClure, 1857-1949, editor. They are concerned with a new publication, The American Magazine.

- The Pyle mss., 1921-1953, includes Letters from and to journalist Ernest Taylor Pyle written mostly when Pyle was a war correspondent working abroad. Much of the correspondence between Pyle's wife and his family is personal in nature. The Pyle mss. II, 1921-1953, consist primarily of letters from journalist Ernest Taylor Pyle, 1900-1945, to his parents and aunt, written during Pyle's travels as a newspaper columnist and World War II correspondent. The Pyle mss. III, 1932-1945, consist primarily of scrapbooks, newspaper and wire copies of columns, and photographs of, or related to, journalist Ernest Taylor Pyle, 1900-1945. The Pyle mss. IV, 1940, consist of carbon copies of dispatches by journalist Ernie Pyle, 1900-1945, sent to newspaper publisher Scripps Howard. The Pyle mss. V, 1994, consist mostly of annotated excerpts from interviews by James Tobin with relatives and acquaintances of journalist Ernie Pyle, 1900-1945. The Pyle mss. VI, ca. 1923.1954, consist of papers concerning journalist Ernest Taylor Pyle, 1900.1945, Clarence E. Edmondson and Edna Hatfield Edmondson.
