The item that best matches your search will appear on the second line of the Browsing the Catalog screen. The remaining items are listed in alphabetical order.

Each heading is followed by a number. This number refers to the number of records associated with that heading.

Example : baseball 26
Indicates there are 26 records associated with the term baseball as a subject heading

On the right side of the Browse results screen there is a box allowing you to continue your search in Google Books or in WorldCat.

If the Begins With (Browse) search does not find a match for the word(s) entered, it places you in the alphabetical sequence of entries nearest the place your entry would occur if it were there.

Use Previous and Next on the navigation bar to move between the screens.

Click on any of the headings to see the records associated with that heading. If one record is associated with the heading, the full view of that record will display. If more than one record is associated with a heading, the results will be a Search Results screen.

The Search Results screen displays the title, author, date of publication and the code of the libraries (or library) that own the item. The list of records is sorted in chronological order. Click on the title of the item to view the full record of that item.

On the right side of the Search results screen there is a box allowing you to continue your search in Google Books or in WorldCat. You may also choose to Limit Your Search Results to the Following Categories. Select one of the categories to limit large search results to materials with similar call numbers.

Use Previous and Next on the navigation bar to move to the previous or next page of the search results. You may also use Pages to move from page to page.

Each record is numbered. To the right of the number is a box for marking individual records to be printed, emailed or saved.
