After 39 years of service to Indiana
University Libraries, Rhonda Long (ILL Borrowing
Supervisor) will retire on Dec. 7, 2012.
Rhonda worked in many areas of the libraries:
Kinsey Library, Wells Library-Regional Campus
Libraries, IU Archives and the Wells Library
ILL/DDS Borrowing.
As the leader of the ILL Borrowing
function, Rhonda has always been an advocate for
requestors, whether they are faculty, graduate
students, undergraduate students or staff.
Her diligence and determination to deliver all
available items is a reflection of commitment and
service to library patrons. She understood
user expectations well and worked to supply
research materials as quickly as possible.
The high reputation of the libraries' ILL
service is due in no small part to her hard work
and skill. Rhonda has been recognized often
in faculty publications whose research she and her
staff supported by filling borrowing requests
effectively and efficiently.
