Register Now for the "UnConferences"

On behalf of the Information Literacy Committee of the Academic Libraries of Indiana (ALI), all academic librarians who do instruction are invited to attend one of our committee's three regional "UnConferences" happening in late July and early August.

These one-day events will give attendees an opportunity to share ideas and best practices, and collaborate to find solutions to challenges we all face in doing library instruction.

Registration for each event is free and open to any Indiana academic librarian who does library instruction.  These UnConferences include lunch, thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Academic Libraries of Indiana.  We ask that participants register by Monday, July 15 so that we can arrange for food and facilities.

More information, including a registration form, the schedule for the day, and driving directions, are available on the UnConference website at

ALA Conference
Many librarians may be missing from the libraries today through early next week -- where have they all gone?  To the annual ALA conference in Chicago, of course!  ALA 2013 is full of exciting things to see and do -- exhibit halls, receptions, small sessions, and of course, big name guest speakers!  This year attendees will get the chance to hear from Alice Walker, Steven Levitt, Khaled Hosseini, Temple Grandin, Congressman John Lewis, and more!
