Battledecks 2013

The Continuing Education Committee seeks volunteers for Battledecks 2013.  A test of courage, creativity, and sheer physical stamina, Battledecks involves participants' giving a presentation on a set of PowerPoint slides they've never before seen.  Imagine the hilarity and camaraderie that comes with practicing presentation skills in such a fun and low-stakes competition.  For participants and audience members alike, it will change your life and the way you feel about PowerPoint.  The event will be scheduled during the first week of December, depending on participant availability.  Contact Christina Wray if you're game (

Daylight Savings

Don't forget that November 3 is the end of Daylight Saving Time!  Set your clocks back an hour and enjoy some extra time on your weekend!  The extra hour of sleep will be more than welcome after celebrating Halloween on Thursday (and perhaps today and Saturday, too!)  However, this does mean that the end of the working day will be close to sundown.  Be extra vigilant when adjusting to the darker commute home.
