The subject of disaster response is a broad and involved one, mainly because the nature of disasters varies endlessly. The most important thing to know about any of them is that no risks are ever taken in regard to safety and well-being. Here are a few supplies that are good to have on hand in the event of a disaster. It is wise to keep these things together in one designated location unless you are confident that you will both remember and be able to find them all, in the course of running here and there trying to gather them up when the call comes in.
