Cotton
twine
Cotton twine is used by many
of the libraries we serve, for tying together various materials they send
to us. This is in fact our primary source of cotton twine. We chiefly use
it for headbands and for reinforcing the cover material of cases at the
top and bottom of the spine. The gauge or diameter used is the one most commonly called "16 ply" by manufacturers.
