Single-item deacidification
system
Though our department is
involved in an active mass decidification program, it is more practical
to deacidify some items in-house. This category is most commonly based on
size; specifically large, flat materials and some oversize books are
candidates. We use the Bookkeeper system, which administers the magnesium
oxide-bearing solution by means of compressed air.
