The strips of hinge cloth are attached to the folios. The view given best shows the amount of overlap, which as you would guess is about 1/8". The strips are worked down with a bone folder, and attention is given to maintaining the 1/8" overlap. Make sure the cloth doesn't shift, either inward (more overlap) or outward (less overlap). The view given is also the best one for checking this, at the ends.
