The hinges are folded over double and a hard crease is made with a bone folder. Very little drying time is necessary for the adhesive, but do take care to make sure the hinges don't shift any at all during this step, especially in the outward direction. The 1/8" cloth/paper joint yields a very strong bond, but it can't afford to lose any overlap.
