Assembly of the text block begins by placing an endsheet on the table top with the flap of the hinge down. As will be seen, the general idea is that we will be building a stack of paper, a signature at a time, and that the stack will be held together on one edge by sewing. After the last signature is sewn on, we will sew on the other endsheet, but with the flap of its hinge pointing up.
