  • Catholic Encyclopedia - Based on the 1913 edition of The Catholic Encyclopedia. About 70% of the 11,570 articles in the print version is available. A later edition, in print, in available in the Reference Reading Room of the Main Library, call number BX841 .C2.
  • Dictionary of Philosophy of Mind - Searchable glossary of philosophical terms with hypertext cross-references and definitions. Each definition is signed and some have references.
  • Easton's 1897 Bible Dictionary - Based on M.G. Easton M.A., D.D., Illustrated Bible Dictionary, Third Edition, published by Thomas Nelson, 1897. No illustrations.
  • Jewish Encyclopedia - The 1901-06 edition of the work. A later edition, in print, in available in the Reference Reading Room of the Main Library.
  • Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy - A work in progress, refereed by distinguished scholars. It offers a search engine that uses boolean operators, and it is also browsable using the alphabetical table of contents. Because it is dynamic and entries will change, be careful to read "How to Cite this Encyclopedia" if you choose to use it.
