Biography and Genealogy Master Index (Biobase)
- Index to several
hundred individual English-language biographical sources.
Both historical and contemporary in scope. Emphasis is
on North America and Western Europe.
- The IU Bloomington Libraries hold most of the sources indexed by BGMI. They can be found through IUCAT.

- Index to selected
K.G. Saur Archives.

Biography Resource Center
- Database of biographical information on more than 185,000 people from throughout history, around the world,
and across all disciplines and subject areas. It contains approximately 250,000 biographies from both print and electronic sources. Included are
full-text articles from nearly 250 periodicals.

IBN (Index Biobibliographicus Notorum Hominum)
- May eventually be the single most comprehensive biographical tool in
existence, but unfortunately still in process and only complete through "H."
Covers 2,000 biographical works,
from all periods (up to the 1960s) and including Asian, African, and
eastern European works.
- IBN provides names, dates, nationalities and
occupations in addition to references to full biographical entries.
Nationality and occupation are given in the language of the original source,
or in German.

alpabetical listing of names.
