Revised in 1988, this four volume set provides outstanding coverage on all aspects of Canadian life--e.g., people, places, flora and fauna, ethnic groups, political themes, and titles of literary works. More than 2,500 Canadian academics and specialists have contributed some 9,500 signed articles (many with bibliographies) to this edition which essentially replaces the older Encyclopedia Canadiana last published in 1975. Well illustrated and indexed. A supplementary volume is planned.
