Presidential Archives, Executive Mansion, Monrovia
Built by President W. V. S. Tubman in the 1960s, the Executive Mansion has functioned more as the seat of the executive branch than a residence after the Tubman era.
After his visit to Liberia in 2000, Professor Elwood Dunn reported that the presidential papers of Tubman, Tolbert, Doe, Sawyer (Interim) & Taylor were seen intact in the Executive Mansion & under the care of a Records Manager.  Organization was a significant issue, however.

The Executive Mansion, Monrovia Liberia Home To The President of The Republic Of Liberia. The Mansion has housed four of Liberia's presidents, William V.S. Tubman, William R. Tolbert, Samuel K. Doe & Charles G. Taylor.

In January 1960, the cornerstone of the New Executive Mansion was laid by the Masonic Craft of Liberia.  The executive mansion was built during the Tubman Administration & has served as the home & office of the President of Liberia, since the 1960's.
The entire south side of the Executive Mansion overlooks the Atlantic ocean.  The view of the Atlantic from the Mansion is spectacular.
