VIVI AWARD



In 1996, the South African Children's Book Forum (SACBF) created a new illstration award known as the VIVI, more formally the Vivian Wilkes Award. The panel of judges include children and adults (librarians and publishers).


1999 - Niki Daly for the illustrations in Jamela's Dress. Cape Town: Tafelberg. 1998 - Elizabeth Pulles for the illustrations in Lulama's Magic Blanket. Cape Town: Garamond. 1997 - Annelises Voigt for the illustrations in The Red Dress. Cape Town: Garamond. 1996 - Ian Lusted for the illustrations in The King's Magic Drum: A Yoruba Folk Tale. Cape Town: Garamond.
