Children's Literature Resources (University of Florida, George A. Smathers
Library)
This new web site, created by Lillian Temu Osaki, is part of the University
of Florida's library guide to Arts and Humanities resources for Africana.
It currently includes information on nine children's authors whose books
deal with African themes, and provides web links to other resources on
African children's literature.
Gateway to Cameroon (Portal Globe, Inc.)
This gateway provides access to many sites concerning Cameroon searchable
by keywords or category. It also includes an "Editor's Choice" of the best
Cameroonian related websites.
Home Page of the African National Congress
(ANC)
This official page of the ANC offers general information, news reports,
access to ANC documents from 1955 to the present, subscribtion information
for ANC press statements, and a variety of links to other South African
web resources and political organizations.
The Kamusi Project: Internet Living
Swahili Dictionary (Yale University)
This resource contains English-Swahili, Swahili-English, and Swahili-Russian
dictionaries, a pronunciation guide, discussion forum, interactive links,
and Swahili songs and poetry.
Madame and Eve's Home Sweet Home
Page
This home page of the popular South African cartoon "Madame and Eve"
provides information about the cartoon and its creators and access to cartoon
archives. But beware, it often takes a long time to load!
Smithsonian National Museum of African
Art
The museum's home page offers information about events, exhibits, library
and musuem programs, and Janet L. Stanley's Modern
African Art: A Basic Reading List, an annotated bibliography (frequently
updated) which provides an excellent introduction to materials on contemporary
African art.
Tanzania Studies
Association
This resources offers information about the association, links to Tanzanian
government and scholarly organizations, the University of Dar es Salaam,
related bibliographies, Tanzanian maps, and radio broadcasts with Tanzanian
news.
