Medieval and Renaissance Architecture on the Web

We have tried to feature here some of the sites that do the best job of taking advantage of the capabilities of the World Wide Web to present information on and images of architecture. Some of the sites indexed are dedicated more to sculpture, so this page actually is one dealing with the plastic arts in general.

Earlier Architecture in Austria.
Italia Bella: Firenze Home Page. Nice virtual tour of Florence, including views of architectural features.
Period and Style for Designers. This site is more for designers and historians, but there are some nice images along with some text.
Renaissance and Baroque Architecture. This collection of architectural images is provided by the Digital Image Center, Fiske Kimball Fine Arts Library, University of Virginia Library.
Welsh Castles.
The Ultimate Florence Web Site. Another site where one can tour around Florence and look at the architecture.

Indices:

AICT--Art Images for College Teachers. This site indexes architectural and sculptural images from a wide variety of artistic contexts. There are some nice images of medieval and Renaissance sculpture, though I have no idea why someone would classify Merovingian as late medieval.
Art History Resources on the Web. A monstrous art history resource, divided chronologically and geographically. Many of the images referenced are those of the WebMuseum, Paris.
