America: History and Life: electronic index to journal articles about American history. Includes links to full text of articles from core journals. Articles from more specialized journals are usually available in print in the Main Library. Search IUCAT by the title of the journal (not the title of the article) to locate.

Letters of delegates to Congress, 1774-1789 (on CD-ROM): Searchable full text. Location: IU Main Library, Government Information, Microforms, and Statistical Services (GIMSS) (second floor: take the "up" escalator from the main lobby).
Pennsylvania Gazette on CD-ROM: Searchable full text; 1728-1800. Location: IUB Main Library, LETRS (Research Collections, first floor, between the circulation desk and the reference desk). Also available online through Accessible Archives. (Click on Search, then select Pennsylvania Gazette).
North American Women's Letters and Diaries: Searchable full text of letters and diaries of hundreds of North American women, from the 16th century to 1950.
Early Encounters in North America: digitized collection of materials documenting encounters between Native Americans and Europeans, 15th century to 19th century.
Evans Digital Edition: Digitized version of a huge collection of works published in North America, 1639-1800. Page images and searchable full text. (Only a third of the collection is currently available online, but the entire collection is available on microfilm. Location: IUB Main Library Microforms Z1215 .E13.)

Library of Congress: American Memory (resources from 1700-1799) - Digitized collections of primary sources on many topics. See especially Documents from the Continental Congress and the Constitutional Convention, Thomas Jefferson Papers, U.S. Congressional Documents and Debates and George Washington Papers. Page images, with searchable text for some documents.
