European Centre for Minority Issues ECMI´s aim is to promote interdisciplinary research on various dimensions of minority-majority relations in a European perspective, and to contribute to the improvement of inter-ethnic relations in those parts of Western and Eastern Europe where ethnopolitical tension and conflict prevail. Racism -- 40 Page Decleration and Program of Action - Durban, South
Africa (document released Jan 2002.) The Declaration includes measures of
prevention, education and protection aimed at the eradication of racism, racial
discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance at the national, regional and
international levels. It also contains a section on providing effective
compensatory and other measures to victims of racism and racial discrimination.
