In general, ignore the CIP for descriptive cataloging information. Do not use as statements of responsibility or series statements.

It is valid to take any additional information about personal names such as dates of birth or death, fuller forms of name, or personal information.
Any series information should only be added as a quoted note (see RI1.6A2).
