Although there are many contrary examples in the NAF, the only information taken from the Russian CIP are dates, titles, or other biographical information. The abbreviated form should not be referred from or even mentioned unless it provides additional information (e.g. Andrei Lebedev on t.p., Andrei Valerianovich Lebedev in the colophon, and Lebedev, A.V. in CIP). This may result in a fuller form without a reference. See RI26.2.
