Welcome to the Wylie House Museum

Built by Andrew Wylie, Indiana University's First President, in 1835, the Wylie House Museum is one of Bloomington's oldest structures and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

2009 Summer ABM Quest

Explore the treasures of Bloomington's museums!
Wylie House is participating in this summer's QUEST adventure being sponsored by the Alliance of Bloomington Museums. Click on the ABM logo to the left to find the "ABM Quest Treasure Map" link. Print out your own QUEST treasure map or pick one up here when you visit Wylie House. The QUEST ends July 31st; a drawing for prizes will be held the first week of August.

Wylie House Gift Shop

Wylie House has a very small gift shop where visitors may buy Wylie House Seeds,
publications of Wylie family writings, and other gifts that reflect 19th century life and Wylie House.
Please stop by the Museum during normal business hours to browse and purchase items in the gift shop,
or contact us via phone or e-mail about specific items.
