Farmer House Museum, Bloomington, Indiana
Located in an historic 1869 residence near downtown Bloomington, the FHM seeks to preserve and interpret family life in Monroe County, Indiana. By promoting a dialog with the past, the museum hopes to inspire the public to appreciate and understand the human forces that have shaped our community.

Plans for the farmstead focus on making the property an educational resource for the local community and the region. The property will also serve as a location for learning practical techniques on related topics such as small scale farming and preservation of houses, farm structures, and landscapes.
Indiana Historical Society, Indianapolis,Indiana
Since 1830, the HIS has been Indiana's storyteller, connecting people to the past by collecting, preserving, interpreting and disseminating Indiana history. The Society maintains one of the largest collections of material on the history of Indiana and the Old Northwest and is one of the oldest historical societies in the United States.
The Indiana University Archives has numerous documents related to members of the two Wylie families that occupied Wylie House between 1835 and 1913. These include personal and professional papers, letters, diaries, sketches and drawings. Documents are available to researchers by appointment (812-855-1127) in Bryan Hall, Rm. 207, or by searching the IU Archives website.
Mellette House, Watertown, South Dakota
Mellette House commemorates the life and achievements of Arthur Calvin Mellette, the first governor of South Dakota, and his wife, Margaret (Maggie) Wylie Mellette. Margaret Wylie, born in 1843, was the third child of Theophilus A. and Rebecca Dennis Wylie. Arthur Mellette and Maggie Wylie married in 1866.
